From January to June 2023, the national metal packaging container and material manufacturing industry has achieved a cumulative operating income of 34.949 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -2.59%. Among them: the operating income in June was 12.468 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -3.74%. (see picture 1)

From January to June 2023, enterprises above designated size in the national metal packaging container manufacturing industry have accumulated a total profit of 2.804 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.57%.
From January to June 2023, the cumulative operating income profit margin of the national metal packaging container manufacturing industry is 4.07%, a year-on-year increase of 0.31%.
From January to June 2023, the national metal packaging container and material manufacturing industry has a cumulative loss of 26.95%, a year-on-year increase of -1.52%. The loss of loss-making enterprises was 533 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of -9.65%. The inventory of finished goods was 6.079 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -2.85%. The main economic benefit indicators of the metal packaging container manufacturing industry are shown in Table 1.

In June, enterprises above designated size in the metal packaging container manufacturing industry completed an export delivery value of 729 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of -22.08%.
Compared with May, it has increased by 2.24 percentage points (see Figure 2). From January to June, the export delivery value was 3.998 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -12.62%. The comparison of the monthly export delivery value of the national metal packaging container manufacturing industry for three consecutive years is shown in Figure 3.

From January to June 2023, the national metal packaging container and its accessories industry completed a cumulative export value of US$1.375 billion, a year-on-year increase of -12.15%. The top five countries in terms of export volume are the United States, the Russian Federation, Vietnam, France, and the United Arab Emirates (see Figure 4 and Figure 5).

From January to June 2023, the national metal packaging container and its accessories industry completed a cumulative import value of 85.0364 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -8.65%. The top five countries (regions) in terms of import volume are Germany, the United States, South Korea, Japan, and Denmark (see Figure 6 and Figure 7).
